Design strategy report to guide product vision.

THE overview.

This was a research and strategy project to provide recommendation on design direction for a consumer electronic brand, Motorola Mobility, focused on providing market clarity of shifts and trends, and consumer expectations for the luxury market. The work included trend research and analysis, color palette development, outline of top innovation trends, and a recommendation path for initial exploration. The outcome strengthened the design team direction and provided relevant insights for the brand and marketing teams.

The observation.

We see the importance placed on crafted details, minimalism, humanness, and wonder.

Clarity is about an experience that can evoke comfort and curiosity when expressed through materials that are modern and approachable, in colors that are culturally crafted.

We can choose to stay or we can choose to wander.

This season we choose both.

This report accomplished providing insights to actionable recommendation across the design organization from User Experience to Industrial Design. With a holistic approach to understanding the consumer the design the solutions were equip to design for specific key points.
